DevicesSwitch receivers, full Device Information, Manage Receivers (rename/delete), Add Receiver.
ReceiverRemote Lock - lock or unlock the receiver's own physical IR remote from the app. Only shown on receivers that support it.
AppearanceTheme (Light / Dark / Device / AMOLED true-black) and Color Theme - pick any accent color, from the wheel or by typing a hex code like #FF8C00, and the app rebuilds its palette around it. A code it cannot read is refused with the reason, and a color too close to black is refused separately, because on the AMOLED theme it would have nothing to show against. Plus Display Size, Widget Size, Customize Navigation and Customize Tabs.
AudioVolume Step (0.5-2.0 dB), whether the absolute volume or dB shows on top, and Gradual vs Direct volume presets - Gradual (the default) ramps smoothly to a preset's target instead of jumping straight there, on the main zone and Zone 2/3.
HelpExplanation cards toggle, restore dismissed cards, and a live Debug Log with one-tap Save & Share for support.
Developer ToolsHidden until you tap the version number (in About) seven times - then it stays available across launches until you remove it. Raw Telnet / HEOS commands, AJAX dump, and a volume-cap wire diagnostic.
BackupExport every receiver, preset and preference to a .zip file that also bundles your custom input icons, and import to restore on a new phone - works on both iOS and Android. Older .json backups still import fine. The file holds no credentials, only receiver IPs and your own preset names, so it is safe to share.

Widgets, theming and Backup & Restore all work on both iOS and Android. Hardware volume-key control is the one genuinely Android-only convenience - an iOS platform restriction, not an app choice.

Settings FAQ

Can I change the app's theme and colors?
Yes - Light, Dark, Device or AMOLED (true black), plus Color Theme where you pick any accent color and the app rebuilds its palette. Use the wheel or type a hex code (#FF8C00, or the three-character shorthand). If the code is wrong the app tells you what is wrong with it rather than just refusing. You can also set Display/Widget size and customize navigation and tabs.
Can I back up my setup?
Yes - Settings, Backup exports every receiver, preset and preference to a .zip file that also bundles your custom input icons; import to restore on a new phone. Older .json backups still import fine. No credentials in the file, so it's safe to share.
Do volume presets jump straight to the target, or ramp there?
Your call - Settings, Audio has a Gradual / Direct switch. Gradual (the default) ramps smoothly toward a preset's target so a tap can never slam your speakers with a sudden jump. Direct applies it instantly. Works on the main zone and Zone 2/3.
Can I lock the receiver's physical remote from the app?
Yes, on receivers that support it - Settings, Receiver has a Remote Lock switch to lock or unlock the receiver's own IR remote.
Are the home-screen widgets Android-only?
No - Quick Control (power / volume / mute / source), Now Playing and Status widgets ship on both iOS and Android. When the receiver is off or unreachable they show a clear "AVR off" / "Standby" state instead of stale data, and the Quick Control power button stays live so you can wake the receiver from the widget.
Do the phone's volume keys control the receiver?
On Android, yes - while the app is in the foreground, your volume keys control the receiver's volume. iOS doesn't allow this.
How do I open the hidden debug menu?
Open Settings, About, and tap the version number seven times. The debug menu then stays available across launches - a live debug log plus raw command tools and diagnostics for support - until you tap "Remove Debug Menu" to hide it again.
