Q: Can I change the app's theme and colors?

Yes. Under Settings, Appearance you can choose Light, Dark, Device or AMOLED (true black), and TJ Mode lets you pick any accent color and the app rebuilds its whole palette around it. You can also set Display Size, Widget Size, and customize the navigation and tabs.

Q: Do the phone's volume keys control the receiver?

On Android, while AVR Maestro is in the foreground, your phone's volume keys control the receiver's volume using your Volume Step setting. This is foreground-only; iOS does not allow it.

Android extras

A few Android-only conveniences

Hardware volume keys: while AVR Maestro is in the foreground, your phone's volume keys control the receiver's volume (using your Volume Step). Foreground-only; iOS doesn't allow this.
Home-screen widgets: Quick Control (power / volume / mute / source), Now Playing, and Status - all resizable, tap-only and auto-refreshing.

Backup & Restore is not Android-only - it works on iOS too (see the Backup row above). These two conveniences are the genuinely Android-only ones.
